If we accept the most likely angle - that it’s Putin and/or Wagner tut have been driving these Sahel coups - then cutting off Exports to France is a very logical step for the coupists - and it’s easy to see these coups as just one of many steps in Russia’s hybrid war against the western structure.

Not denying any potential invomvement, but you don't exactly need external interference to convince Africans that France is robbing them

why would the EU even need fissionables? didnt they shutter their power plants?

Pretty sure France has something like a 60% nuclear base. Germany just shuttered its plants but I’m pretty sure they’re the only ones getting rid of them.

France mostly uses nuclear power for electricity. It looks like they generate 70% of their electricity from nuclear power plants.

Only Germany.

Comple other countries chose back in the day to not build nuclear. Mainly these are mountainous countries with plenty hydro (Norway and Austria) and Denmark who has since relied on weird and imports from Norway and Sweden when the wind is not blowing.

Eu has a lot of nuclear and especially France has a lot of nuclear.
