Hours before his plan for tariffs of 25 per cent on Canada and Mexico was due to take effect on February 1, Trump also widened his threat to include the EU, which he said had treated the US “very badly”.

Seriously - who would've thought that American liberty, justice and democracy would be destroyed by a smelly old fat man in clown makeup who never managed to outgrow being a spoiled toddler?

He can't change his pants himself at that point. No proofs, just as speculation, but it's smelling.

Being a very strong importer, entering that path is like lining the pavement with broken glass to then roll on it. The other countries will either disengage from that trade partnership and diversify or will to the exact same thing and add their own tariffs to the pile and throw salt on top of the metaphoric glass covered floor.

The world is really big.

It would be really sad if he got tangled in his sheets and pillows one night and died of Dementia.

Frankly, at this point I'd say do it, let him fire up his tariffs for a few weeks, let him watch his economy go up in flames ... let's watch him expedite his Nero reenactment...

By now it is the best course of action for the voters who believed in him to witness/live in the disaster...

Any other intervention of courts trying to stop him will keep the (incorrect) belief in his tariffs alive.

The other stuff he is doing will only show damage in the long term, years away, and by then it is too late.

I still find it apalling no one is properly explaining tariffs to anyone in a short understandable manner, even online explanations are needlessly convoluted, the guy on the street won't follow a lecture like it.

As long as he has his billionaires and unschooled army/backers he'll keep on doing what he wants. But when the billionaires' riches go up in flames and the backers can't afford eggs at all anymore, let alone steaks he'll shut his wide mouth pretty fast.

Ofcourse he'll try to find another enemy quickly to redirect attention towards, but at least then a bigger group will see the damage he is doing.
