I'm a 50 year old dude, never cared about sports. But my wife got into PWHL last year and I started watching with her.

It doesn't have the toxicity that I've seen in so many male dominated sports. We're Minnesotans, so of course we support Frost.

Late last season we were watching a game and while the game was tied, our (Minnesota, not yet called Frost) team wasn't making as many shots on goals as they usually did, and I said that.

"What's going on? Why is Minnesota lagging in shots on goal... WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO ME, I'M MAKING OBSERVATIONS ABOUT SPORTS STATISTICS!!"

As a sports fan, I suspect most people—even non-sportsfans—can become fans of a sport at least, if they just find the right sport or athlete/team to follow. Glad you’ve found something you enjoy!

I am only a scant few years younger than you, and other than playing soccer in my youth, and watching my daughter’s soccer games, I am decidedly NOT a sports person.

I watch every PWHL game I can. I too am a Frost fan (the purple jerseys did it for me). I find myself yelling at the TV when we (we? I am not playing, but I feel myself part of the action) miss a shot, or fail to block a goal. I text my wife when there is a great play.

To me, these women are real people unlike the caricatures of people we see in the NFL, NBA, and MLB. It almost feels like BASEketball.

Glad to meet a fellow Frost fan.
