I've been warning my boomer parents periodically for years now that the time is coming when they won't be able to drive anymore and that they need to come up with an exit strategy from their car-dependent suburban lifestyle. Even though they're already at the point where they can't see well enough to drive at night, there's absolutely zero indication that it's even begun to sink in.
