Some years ago I played a game with a deep customisation for character creation. Well I was quite impressed, I was used to MMORPG where you had 6 faces to choose from, 6 hair cut and hair colour.
In this game you could customise many details, head size, body size, height, and many cursors for face details.
That game was Perfect World, it was probably around 2008-2009.

I guess now many recent MMORPG do better when it comes to character creation.

Oh yeah I remember this game! It was crazy for the time

Haha yeah!
I remember I was so excited with the ability to fly. Fight monster while flying etc.
Then I got so disappointed with the execution, it was slow, and there was a cash shop for those flying swords and other stuffs (I don't remember if it was possible to upgrade without $).

WoW. I love the simplicity.

Eve Online has a very good one. The models are aging these days, but you can sculpt some very unique faces.

Are you not always in a ship in Eve Online tho?

Unfortunately yes. Walking in Stations was briefly a thing but it went.. Badly.

It's largely poisoned as a mechanic due to it's connection to the Greed is Good memo and things.

You can still dress them up and pose them for your portrait though. New clothing items get added all the time for even more barbies in space.

Sorry for the slow reply. Didn't get a notification until today. Lemmy growing pains I suppose.
