Was a bit of a shocker from sainz.
The right call.
The FIA's decision to stop giving penalty points for impending is looking a Bit dumb now. Regardless of not being told about those behind you by your team, you still don't drive that slowly on the racing at the end of a straight.
Honestly he should count himself lucky he got away with only one such penalty. I suspect he won’t though, he tends to be quite stubborn about insisting he’s not at fault even when he blatantly is.
His only comment was that he himself was impeded about 7 times and that it was chaotic...
Surprised he didn’t get a second grid drop for the other one. They need a process of having a minimum mini sector time going into the last few corners.
3 places for fucking over a direct competitor? Alpine is closer to Ferrari than Ferrari is to Merc/AM.
Seems like he got a slap on the wrist...
