A more-than-decent look at the Varginha, Brazil, UFO/creature incident from 1996. It starts a little slow, but really held my attention once it got going. I wasn't familiar with any of it going in. Surprisingly, there weren't really any "eye roll" moments or oversensationalization that are common with these kinds of things. I think the interviewer wants to amp it up, but the language barrier and translators keep him reeled in. It's fairly engaging and not super over the top.

Linked to Tubi for convenience.

Haven't seen the film (tubi is not available in Europe). After watching the trailer the first impression I get is that the brazilian govt/military also seems to have been very serious about covering it up. What is it that makes the covering it up top priority doesn't matter where you are. Is it an instinct to protect, because it feels overwhelming or is there a very serious deal between governments for covering these things up that makes them follow it to the smallest detail.

Yeah, the presenter definitely gets a little wrapped around his documentary format sometimes, but after the opening scenes it really did start getting to the heart of the matter. I also knew nothing about this event but the testimony was very interesting and as you say, it didn't need any artificial drama from editing.
