Fuck scientific publishing. Well overdue to get replaced but it just doesn't happen because everyone hate/loves impact factors and citation metrics too much.

Is there like a Wikipedia for papers anywhere?
Network effects are hard to beat but it can be done. Scientists need a Twitter scale exodus into open journals and grants need to be written in ways to support them.
Sure is a shame there's not a massive database of papers available online for completely free. Oh wait...
It doesn't seem like Sci-Hub has a way to search abstracts, but their entire database is available to download. I imagine someone could selectively download closed papers by Springer and Elsevier and create a keyword search engine for their abstracts.
