Got a free 1 year gift code for being a Pro user. Can't redeem it myself so I thought I'd give it away on Lemmy.

To keep the giveaway simple, reply to this post with any comment. I'll randomly pick a winner in 7 days and DM the code.

Former pro user, just over a year using NN, but dropped it a few months ago. Too many issues not addressed (webclipper not working was the big one for me), over 1k open issues on GitHub, many on discord also not getting any attention. I think the devs are overwhelmed. Was a hard decision to move away from NN as it has the potential to be quite fantastic, but I couldn't see thowing scarce money at a project that has so many issues and little or no response from the developers. Moved on to Upnote, which has been smooth, but do miss the E2E security of NN. Hope that it has improved, that the devs are or will become more able to address shortcomings and provide better feedback to its users.

I'm on Firefox and the webclipper is working fine for me.

I haven't come across any issues myself, however I sorely miss being able to archive notes like on Google Keep.

On Chrome, but also saw that others were having the same web clipper issues regardless of browser (it's been an open issue on github for over 8 months, no indication of a fix). I created 'archive' sub folders (nested notebooks), it worked but very cluttered, but a true archive feature would be most welcome as well as real templates.

I keep a journal in Notesnook and I'd like to expand my use to other things. The app is beautiful, easy to use and privacy-conscious to boot. Thanks for doing the giveaway

I’ve never even heard of this service (saw the post browsing All); I guess you like it?

I'm a bit privacy conscious and getting more and more into degoogling. Found a good deal for the yearly Pro subscription and decided to give it a try as a replacement to Google Keep.

I like so far. As with everything, it has its pros and cons.
