DeTrashed

A community dedicated to cleaning up our world, one piece of trash at a time. Out for a walk, hike, errand, trip, or anything else? Pick up a couple pieces of trash and help be part of making a difference!

Post those pictures of trail cleanups, campsite overhauls, getting tires out of the old watering hole, or that grassy area by the sidewalk you pass on your evening walks that too many people leave their trash in.

Individually we can only clean up our little slice of life, but together we can help promote a cleaner, detrashed world!

Next step is to figure out how to secure it to my belt or the bucket I use!

The important question though, is how well does it work?

Surprisingly well! So far it grabs as well as the fixed ones I have, but I’ll be curiously to see how it handles something that needs a bit of poking to pop up out of the ground. Didn’t find anything on my first walk that I had issues with though.

I've always wanted a real good one of those. You like it?

I’m really happy with it so far but have only done a walk around the block. Going to hit up a park this weekend and will report back after harder usage!

I've got a (non folding) grabber and whilst it is useful for getting to rubbish that's, say, tucked way into a hedge or something, for the most part it's fiddly enough that it's easier to just to put on a pair of gloves and just pick up the rubbish by hand.
