Since many of us are trying to avoid giving reddit any traffic, this space can be used to discuss Apollo, our dreams of seeing it join the Fediverse, and to give our appreciation to @[email protected] for his incredible work.

My single biggest #UI wish for #Ivory @ivory is to add an option to disable all the cell swipe actions and add a “swipe anywhere to go back” feature. (Similarly to Twitter, the Mastodon official client, Woolly, Mammoth, and many other apps).

It would greatly improve single-handed use (with a right hand, that is).

Alternatively, a swipe on Tab Bar to go back a la @apolloapp would be an improvement.

My second biggest #UI wish for #Ivory is to have a clearer way to present threads in the main timeline. Currently replies are missing the context of the post they are responding too, so they tend to contribute to adding noise. To be fair, not many clients get this right.

Take a look at @elk and @phanpy, by contrast. The context is preserved and the conversation is much easier to follow right in the timeline.

No, I think the Material-esque UI style feels a bit out of place on iOS
