Audio Emoji continues to see updates, like seasonal animations, with Google now testing a more prominent access point in the Pixel Phone app.

I had to look it up. Audio emoji is just playing a sound effect while in the call. Discord did this too with the sound board. I assume this is more popular with younger generations? Although sending fart noises to my family would still be pretty funny.

It makes a full screen animation for both parties also. My toddler loves them.

According to articles online it doesn't show the emoji for the receiver, only for the sender. Did they update the functionality to include visuals for both parties?
