Got an idea for next month's banner?

Wellington can't catch a break.
speaking of weather, if you have access to a terminal*, I discovered this the other day:
curl wttr.in/<your region here>
you can use lat/long, or town/city names - though obviously you'll need to append _ if there's more than one of them in the world.
I'd happily swap a couple days of our sun for a couple days of proper rain - ideally on even numbered days so I can still take advantage of watering my veges on the odd numbered :) Its 9am here and already cracked 21C with average temps hovering around that until Monday evening.
(*if not just browse to it like normal its just slower)
That's amazing! Also works roughly without the region by using your IP address: https://wttr.in
Ah interesting, if it can't work out where you are it just shows the coldest permanent settlement :)
Weird! How did you test that?
Edit: or did you mean if it's a rough location around multiple settlements, rather than what I assumed which is that it can't find you on earth and shows you the coldest settlement on earth.
I was just trying various options / and when it it couldn't find something it returns this location's weather:
Weather report: Oymyakon
Freezing fog
_ - _ - _ - -34 °C
_ - _ - _ ↓ 4 km/h
_ - _ - _ - 0 km
0.0 mm
With a note:
We were unable to find your location
so we have brought you to Oymyakon,
one of the coldest permanently inhabited locales on the planet.
Haha wow, neat! Of course it's in Siberia 😆
Is it that bad? The forecast seems to be cloud when I look.
Been trying to build up a resistance to sunlight. Spent 15 mins in the sun yesterday and almost got burnt.
I'm so glad I tinted our bedroom window last week, the afternoon sun blazing in usually makes it unbearably hot. Now it's just plain hot even with the curtains closed. It's a reflective tint so we also get some privacy as well as our neighbour is having some work done on their pool and have ripped out every single tree and hedge around it that was blocking the view from their two storey house. I've picked up more to tint the kids rooms this week too.
