Rejecting the mandate would leave thousands of residents in homes too short-staffed to provide proper care.

As a person connected to the nursing industry, this is absolute bullshit. People already die because of short staffing and incompetent nurses.

A relative was in nursing care during the pandemic. If THAT was improved staffing levels, there is no way they can be run with even less.
