Ebikes, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, longboards, eboards, motorcycles, skates, unicycles: Whatever floats your goat, this is all things micromobility!

"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

micromobility is seen as a potential solution to moving people more efficiently around cities"

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

That title is me before explaining all the problems that currently and previously make viable riding very unlikely. Most of all, for me most destinations are probably further out than 5 or even 10 miles (1-way!) so need a decent chunk of time and effort.

I have ridden 240 miles over about 2 years (the trail was shut down for an overtime to install new bridges+resurfacing, then it was less shaded). But at least I have a cheap(+geared) folding bike.

Also currently, snow (slush, salt). EDIT:

A $4,000 e-bike is great, but a $999 e-bike that can do 80% of the same job is often a better value proposition for many people on tighter budgets

I waited for a while to get a $720 bike that has a lot of different specifications that most ebikes don't. (lighter, gearing, and decent range. All of which is better than most for that price-range, the tradeoff is it's 250w but that's all I want/need) Though they don't sell that model anymore (and their other models are more like everything else).
