Explanation: When the Romans came into conflict with the Dacians (modern-day Romania), they encountered the strange two-handed curved blade that was the falx. The novel weapon inflicted significant losses on Roman troops, so much so that Roman legions operating in Dacia changed their standard equipment out for specialized gear - including reinforced helmets, different forms of armor, and heavy armguards. Quite impressive for a blade-onna-stick!
