Sooooo, my kids were kidnapped by their mom and taken to her home country. I haven't spoken to them in almost 2 months now, and it's really hard.

I'm trying to get them home, and I'm pretty sure the police will be able to make it happen. But I'm afraid that they'll hate me when they do come back. I mean, I'll the asshole who took them away from their mom, even if it's to protect them from her.

What should I do once they're back? How do I tell them that what their mother did is actually a criminal act, and is even considered child abuse? How can I make them understand that I love them and I was trying to protect them, and did everything in my power to get them back? How do I explain to them what their mother is?

How am i supposed to look them in the eyes and tell them that the woman who purported to love them caused them so much harm that they might have to go to therapy for the rest of their lives just to unwrap what happened?
