Hopefully it's dry and not too cold that day.
Just ran one this morning (Thanksgiving) in the cold and rain. Puddles everywhere, my feet were soaked before the race even began. You're cold until you're not, so just remember that. Once you warm up it's ezpz, rain, cold, whatever.
My wife and I have been doing these for a while, but it will be my kiddo's first 5k. If it's not worse than today then we should be okay.
I just told my nearly-7-year-old she can join me on the next one, but probably going to wait until it's nice weather, being miserable at the start is just around for a miserable race.
