Do raccoons have any kind of foods they really shouldn't eat, like dogs and cats? I've kinda wondered this since getting dogs and learning just how much normal human foods can make them sick besides chocolate. Since raccoons often get into human food via trash cans, I would hate for them to get sick because they ate an onion or something.

Yes, there are foods that are toxic to raccoons, like chocolate, avocados, onions, garlic, and excessive sugar (which for a raccoon is not a lot of sugar).
We had to put down a rabid one that wandered into the yard today, it was a bummer, but he was pretty far along into showing rabies symptoms, so it was a mercy.
It is a damned shame that racoons aren't properly domesticated. They're awesome.
So, after turkey is pizza? Game on.
