I mean, yeah.

If he made movies, people would leave the cinema bewildered, and laugh at how many of the major credits said his name.

I never finished death stranding, i didn't expect the combat beforehand and found it far too challenging so i ended up dropping the game for cyberpunk.

He’d make amazing Netflix second screen movies. For these, it’s required for in movie characters to spew the plot for the audience every ten minutes… if you see where I’m going with this…

imho: It looks like that game making is currently the only thing the big industry allow him to, while he does aspire to be more involved in the movie industry rather the gaming one. Weird direction since videogame industry is way more bigger than the movie one.

I think it is a kind of recall to the classic arts, like when at a certain point in their career movie actors perform in live theater.
