I am much like the author. I have never used their streaming library or the live tv function, and never will. If they head down that path I will just restructure my library and migrate to Jellyfin.

At present I prefer Plex as I have a library for 4K and a larger library with small 1080p x265 which I share with my family. Plex does a great job at merging it all together
