I hate this headline. I don’t give a shit what color this person is. They lost their lives not due to the color of their skin, but due to the beliefs of a bunch of christofacsists who think all women are property.
IIRC black women suffer higher rates of medical complications to begin with for various reasons (both institutional racism related and otherwise, I think), and this criminalization of abortion exacerbates that.
In other words, it's bad for all women, but it's disproportionately worse for black ones and thus in effect yet another instance of institutional racism on top of all the other problems with it.
This is a fair point, and I wish the article had made this point.
