Sold, it's not being sold now.
Not exactly hard when it was still being officially manufactured and sold all the way until 2013-2014, right around the release of the PS4.
Its also important to remember that the PS2 was one of the cheapest DVD players at the time it was released. The reason it sold so well was almost entirely because of this.
this is my favorite gen of gaming ps2, xbox, gamecube.
The biggest graphical leap, releasing a larger quantity of diverse games, a faster release cadence, and very little of the bad that came in subsequent gens like horse armor.
This PS2 must be a hard-working dude!
