It would signal that there is likely to be a "Super 2" and a clear desirability pecking order in the "Power 3" that will eventually distill it down into a "Middle-class 1" above the zombie husks of first the PAC and later, the ACC. Lord knows shit can change, but it will be on the ACC and PAC teams who don't have realistic chances at SEC/B1G to make themselves more desirable than an ascendant B12. Clemson and Washington sure won't be investing in their conferences as long-term homes.
