A place to discuss comic books of all types, from old to new, Big 2 to indie, and everything in between.

Floppies, graphic novels, compilations, omnibusses (omnibusi?) are all fair game.

There is only one rule:*

Comic Books is a no judgement zone.

You can talk all you want about how Rob Liefeld is trash, Bob Kane is an asshole, or Frank Miller and Dave Sim’s politics have made them toxic, that’s all good.

If, however, another user is LEGITIMATELY a fan of something you don’t like, that does NOT make them a lesser person. Attack the art for being bad, not the person for being a fan of bad art.

* I lied. There are TWO rules... No piracy. Cover shots? That's good. Interior pages, in moderation? Sure. Full books? Links to pirate sites? That's how we get things shut down. :(

I'm not saying it's been a problem, because it hasn't been.

BRZRKR Poetry Of Madness #1 - Loved the BRZRKR stuff, didn't know this was coming.

Batman The Brave And The Bold #3 - Not a Bat-Fan, but this has been incredibly good.

Cerebus In Hell Presents War In Hell #1 - My "throw money at Dave Sim" project continues.

Klik Klik Boom #2 - First one was great, we'll see where this goes!

Knight Terrors Titans #1 - Another case of "Didn't this book JUST start?" crossover disruption. :(

Spider-Man India #2 - Sorry, I'm a sucker for Alt-Spider-Men.

Superman The Last Days Of Lex Luthor #1 - Supes books have been good lately, seems worth a look.

Ultimate Invasion #2 - I always liked the Ultimate Universe.

X-Men Hellfire Gala 2023 #1 - Supposedly bringing back Ms. Marvel as a mutant.

This week I'm getting:

  • Amazing Spider-Man #30 - Buying out of habit. Eventually I should drop this unless it gets better.
  • The Avengers #3 - It's better than Jason Aaron's stuff, but not completely sold yet. We'll see how it goes.
  • The Incredible Hulk #2 - I'm liking this new series so far.
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures Continued #3 - These are just fun!
  • Ultimate Invasion #2 - I liked the first issue and looking forward to how this turns out. Glad to see Black Bolt again, hopefully we'll see more from Inhumans soon?

I'm the same, but I am only following the main Spider now. I had to bring down my subscriptions since I was spending too much on comicbooks 🙈

Do you have an always growing reading pile of books and comicbooks to read too? For every book/comicbook I finish reading, two or three more get added to the pile 😆

Ribbon Queen #1 (Ennis and Burrows) was the best book this week, hell, this year that I picked up.
