The US might chose to withdraw, you can't predict that, but the EU leaving NATO on its own accord would be pretty much suicidal.

Things in the scale right now? Trump, being the Putin puppet that he is, might then want to join a pact with Russia. That would be game over for just about the world. The US sucks balls at keeping territory, but blasting the shit out of territory? Nobody gets even close to the US with that.

European democratic accountability. More impetus and agency for European nations (the EU) to act on defense (a la Macron). Stability that the US political system simply cannot provide (given its dominance in NATO). And genuine European leadership in Europe at a time when the US’s focus shifts inexorably to the Pacific (and plays war games in the Middle East).
