Simple Gallery Pro from GitHub is my go to. Really like the UI, features, speed. Truly awesome project. What would YOU choose? ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm on https://github.com/IacobIonut01/Gallery

I dislike simple because according to Play Store reviews their Calendar Play Store version basically blackmailed customers into paying (if they wanted all their data to remain)

It was a one time failure because of Paid versions transition. With calendar you could export your events to ICS file and import to paid app. Or install this app from GitHub or F-Droid ๐Ÿ˜

I used F-Droid, but screwing over non F-Droid users like that is scummy. The reviews are on the play store.

Not screwing. Everyone need money. Tibbi is really active developer. So asking money (very small amount) to continue development is okey. My opinion. It was done in correct way, he gave people ability to export data from non-paid version. If someone didn't understand something, then, hmm... shit happens, you can't help anyone.

i use simple because it's the only gallery i know of that supports apng

but i probably would anyway. i like the standard material 1 design, it's faster than aves, and i don't need all the blur, animations, and eye-candy that's aves' draw. perhaps i'm getting old but simple gallery just works and works the same as all the other apps in their suite, and conforms to standard android paradigms

Kinda same here. Like it's clean, simple UI, smooth animations. Truly awesome project. Thank you, tibbi! โค๏ธ

Tried both and stay with simple. Do not remember why exactly, but there were things which I was not able to do with aves.

I use Google Photos and Google Gallery (separate gallery app)

๐Ÿ˜‚. Yeah. Sorry but Google services are just too good to not use ๐Ÿ˜Š

I'm my experience, Simple Gallery is WAY better than Google Photo as a gallery. Simpler, straightforward UI, better features.
