I got it in 1999 or so. TI-basic was my first-ever intro to programming.

I still have that exact same model, still working. I think that they even still sell them? I thought that they were being discontinued due to the TI-Nspire CAS series...

Still, a great calculator!

It's in beautiful shape, too! I actually like the styling of the original TI-89 better than the Titanium.
