I was looking into the ingredients of a vegan macaroni and cheese sauce I really loved which is no longer available. I was dismayed to see that the number one ingredient is palm oil. Reminder to also avoid palm oil because most palm oil plantations involve razing forest habitat, especially negatively impacting orangutans.

That would be interesting, but orangutans in particular have increasingly little land upon which they can live and it's largely due to palm oil plantations. The situation is a bit urgent for them.
