Fun fact: soldiers in the Roman Legions would find their maniples before battle and during exercises by pointing their phones at the SPQR codes held up by the standard bearer.
"Maniples" comes from the Latin "Manipulus", meaning "Handful", because your hand is full when raising the phone camera
