Former and current Israeli military officials have said they are losing the war on Gaza while Hamas is winning.Despite having the upper hand on a tactical level, Israel still can’t defeat the Palestinian group, according to Major General Gadi Shamni, a former commander of the Israeli military’s Gaza division.

In an interview with the New York Times published on Tuesday, Shamni said Hamas was winning the war, while Israel was losing, “and in a big way”.

He said the military capabilities of Hamas have undeniably been reduced, but the group still maintains control over Gaza. Hamas members have been retaking towns across Gaza “15 minutes” after Israeli troops withdrew from them, he added.

The official also warned against launching an offensive on Lebanon, saying war there “is easy to start, but very hard to end”.

Doesn’t help that every time you kill a baby you radicalize an entire family against you. 14 fucking pages.

They poured gasoline on a fire and thought it would work because it's liquid.

This shit isn't news, and I'm kinda tired pretending Israel is this stumbling child who is experiencing everything for the first time. Purposefully bombing civilians and pretending it was either an accident, acceptable casualty, or that the families with children were hiding WOMD; sometimes all 3 in the same sentence.

This isn't Israel's first time dealing with insurgents, it isn't their first time firing weapons, or dealing with Palestine in general. They are not idiots, they know what they're doing and are using our ignorance/lack of knowledge on the subject matter to paint their own pictures of events.

Sorry for the rant, these articles are making my blood boil.

That's kind of the point, isn't it? If you want to kill every palastinian but only say you want to wipe out hamas, then isn't it best for your plan if every palastinian joins hamas?

We already have a demonstration of how well a 20 year occupation stamps out radical organizations. All Israel needs to do is what they're currently doing and eventually there simply won't be any Palestinians left.

Didn't netenyahu essentially create hamas?? He must be happy they are doing so well.

Yeah cause you would have to kill their operatives not their civilians.
