Rooks will eat almost anything, including worms, grain, nuts and insects, small mammals, birds (especially eggs and nestlings) and Carrion.

@[email protected] I don't know how crows and ravens got to be the symbol of death when rooks have skull-faces! Such Goth birds! We don't have them here in Australia so they're fairly new to me and I love them.

@[email protected] I'm not sure either, maybe its their ability to find dead animals (carrion). I think the Rook is the most gothic looking of all the Corvids..
