I finally started playing Love and Deepspace after seeing lots of screenshots of it on the socmeds! I was hesitant at first since its a gacha game and the art style isn't usually my cup of tea, but then I found out that it has actual action combat and a photo mode 👀 So far I'm pleasantly surprised by the writing

My desire to support otome with more… gameplay? more to do than just selecting dialogue choices? wars with the artstyle also not being my cup of tea and my dislike for gacha. I sucked it up for Pokémon Masters but that is also quite playable as a F2P without giving my entire life to the game. How is Love and Deepspace when it comes to that aspect?
Glad to hear the writing is good.
It has all the standard gacha features, you unlock more content/stories with a LI by collecting their cards and stuff. So far the UI is less annoying than in other gacha games, you get greeted by less pop-ups telling you to buy stuff and the notification symbols are less prominent (this is one point that really grinds my gears with most gachas, all the big red dots telling you to check 100 different menus). The production quality is very high! So high in fact, that my poor phone can barely play it on the lowest settings 🥲 .
What I like about the plot is that the MC (at least from what I've seen) is more of a strong-willed action heroine who fights side-by-side with the LIs.
I'm still at the very start so I'm still in the "honeymoon" phase where everything is easy and you don't need to grind. I'll report back later when I've seen more
That's great! As much as I enjoy MCs who are not exactly action heroines, I feel a game with, you know, action, should probably have an MC who participates in the action. Although I would absolutely take an MC who gives you the mission report and debriefs, so long as she was competent. I have always found those characters cool.

I caught even more typos in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom -Pirates of the Disturbance-. One of which is
Thanks to Silva, the Weiss pirates have avoided causalities, but many have been injured.
He must be really OP if he can help the pirates avoid basic cause and effect.
Played the Nicol route, which will really appeal to people who love pining characters, and characters wanting someone they cannot have. There is also fun romantic angst to go around and I liked the plot on this one. Aside from playing a little bit of the route in Chapter 3 right at its start, I basically played this start to finish in one sitting. I got his GOOD END (yes, the game capitalizes them that way), but left acquiring his HAPPY END and reading the Memory Scenarios for the next day.
The amount of times I have had a thought about this game, written down a comment about it, and then saw the game address that thought or Katarina explicitly having that same thought it a few dialogue boxes later is absolutely massive.
Also, I turned on Title Cards and although I like knowing where I am in the story, it also means dramatic scenes often get interrupted by happy title card music lol.
My own abilities are so weak, I didn't even consider using magic and went straight for the blunt instruments.
I love Katarina.
Katarina broke a cookie in half and the SFX sounds like taking Minecraft fall damage. ???

I kept being suspicious of Rozy, then got the suspicions assuaged, then got them raised again, only to get them assuaged repeatedly throughout this game. I finally got an answer on the Nicol route!
(But really, I don't think he'd go for that. This isn't a romance novel…)
I love Katarina having reasonable human thoughts while also being oblivious and hilarious because this is an otome game.

And then I had to eat my LOL when I learned about the whole thing with the witch being betrayed by her lover and sticking around for thousands of years… Also, what with the stories of the witch storing power in her eyes, and Silva's eye thingy… I theorized they are probably connected.

Katarina falls asleep a ton on this route but at one point she has trouble sleeping which is incredibly alarming given how on the other routes she is noted for falling asleep easily even when something bad is going on.
Nicol's route has produced my favorite CG so far, but that is influenced by my own biases.

Barely started Alan's route, just played enough for the game to set me on it and start chapter 3.

In all the other routes you think Alan is oblivious to his feelings, but play Alan's route and you find he knows about them very early into the route. I wonder if he is aware in regular Hamefura canon, or if he is oblivious in the other routes and it's just on his own route where he realizes. Probably not given how early he realizes.
I also just realized that Alan's childhood accusation that Catarina was seducing Mary may suggest that F/F relationships are normal in that world! Not a spoiler because this is literally in the manga and anime
