This is a highly skilled and well thought out rant that I couldn't agree more with. DevOps doesn't scale well because the ops group often times gets way too far away from the dev group. So much of development is based on ongoing ops, and the less each knows about the other, the worse the system will be.

And how do larger orgs compensate for that? A million meetings where potatoes are talking to tomatoes and know one knows how to make it all in to a delicious stew.
