Varen is a fantastic choice for AA. I did Varen February last year and I loved it.

With other AA scents I've used, I've almost been completely nose blind to them by now. Varen is such a beast of a scent that, while I've gone nose blind to some of it, I'm able to pick out and appreciate some of the more subtle nuisance that I normally wouldn't have noticed. I'm really enjoying using it this year.

We're half way through the month, and I have to say this scent has grown on me quite a bit. The lemongrass used to throw me off, but now it either doesn't bother me, or I've learned to like it, or my nose has learned to ignore it. Either way, it's a great Haitian vetiver scent.
