FediLore + Fedidrama

Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)

Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.

Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc

(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

Which was the original plan way back.

I'm think lore for multi user events (flame wars, raids), big things (ex impeachment) concerning admins, events affecting a "big" server so potential admin appointments etc.

Drama for more high school stuff like u/amongus getting banned for getting into a fight in c/world news. Things concerning small server admins like group.lt admin

Most content here atm is lore.

Naturally some posts could be posted to both subs.

I'm not sure if there is enough drama posts for a fedidrama sub to kick off. Would you contribute drama posts to fedidrama?

I am a proponent of only splitting subs when they have a large amount of content.

Roughly, what you thinking is "large"?

Like 10 posts per day at least I guess. Large in lemmy terms ;)

No need to split it into lore or drama. Lore can also be created by drama, and drama can become lore if significant enough. They go hand in hand.

Insert "they're the same picture" meme here.

I believe drama is part of lore, so i'd say they should be one community.

Lore just seems like the conclusion/history of drama. So I think if you did split it you'd want to be cognisant of that.

There isn't enough drama for it's own sub, and when the drama post becomes 180 days old (being facetious as a joke) it becomes lore. So then does someone have to re-write the post on /c/fedilore at that point?

It might make sense to keep it all under one roof. To me, it's all the same.
