Caveat: I run the perchance platform itself, but I don't run this forum. It's a community-run forum. I was given mod permission here by Eatham who created it.
That said, three things to say:
- I'm not sure what post you're talking about, since as a mod I think I should be able to see deleted posts, but I can't see any. I think normally I see the post in the feed, but with a red icon next to it - example:
I can't see anything like this after scrolling back through 2 weeks of posts. It make me wonder if it was instead deleted at the lemmy.world/admin/server level, rather than at the community level.

This is, first and foremost, a forum for perchance builders, not for users of generators. I must stress: Perchance is a coding platform. Investigating things like you mentioned takes a lot of effort, and is not what people here are likely interested in when they come to visit this forum, so if Eatham or Vionet deleted it, I wouldn't protest. And if the lemmy platform/server deleted due to defamation lawsuit risk, I wouldn't protest that either. If you believe someone has broken the law, or is likely to do so soon, then you should contact law enforcement. Law enforcement will get in contact with me if they need my assistance in an investigation. This forum is not the venue for reporting that a particular person, as represented by an IP address hash, may have some sort of dangerous mental illness. If you want someone banned from a particular comments section because they're ruining your experience (i.e. not due to crime), then your first step is probably to try contact the person who made the generator. (You can also save your own copy of the generator and use that - it will have its own fresh comments section.)

However, this is the right forum for a post like "Comments plugin needs a better moderation system", or something like that. I made the comments plugin, and feedback on that, or any other topic related to building generators, is welcome here. I will eventually get around to adding a better auto-moderation system to the comments plugin. This will likely help a lot with trolls and creeps. In the meantime, please immediately block trolls, and encourage others to do so as well. I understand that the situation here isn't optimal currently - it really does suck. There are definitely way too many trolls in Perchance comments boxes. It's getting quite high on my todo list to solve this. Use the block button in the meantime.
Again, I cannot stress enough: If you believe a crime has taken place, or is likely to take place, please get into contact with (cyber) law enforcement, ideally within the jurisdiction that you believe the crime has/will taken/take place. And again, technical feedback on improving the platform/plugins/etc. is very welcome here.
