I don't think this post is anti semitic or promoting a hateful ideology, it is me expressing a known fact that Israel and its lobby groups heavily lobbying the US. Simple as that.

My account was just suspended, I highly recommend anyone who has this viewpoint to simply not express it here. The fediverse and Mastodon and Lemmy are all a sham.

Really disappointed to be honest. I was hoping I could post my opinion and not have the left wing brigade show up to censor me or "educate" me. Fuck censorship and fuck Israel.

UPDATED: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED when I try to appeal on mstdn.ca....lol talk about spiteful. Must be a Montreal server. Big Jewish population in Montreal. Makes sense....added their API to my blokada Blocklist.

The idea that Israeli lobbyists are singlehandedly "paying off the US' debt" is so patently absurd that I can easily see someone interpreting it as anti-semetic. Criticizing pro-Israel lobbyists is one thing, but when you start implying that Israeli lobbyists literally control the US government, I think you're stepping into clearly anti-semetic territory.

That alongside the wink-wink nudge-nudge "we all know who it is" comment really pushes this post over the edge. You're clearly parroting anti-semetic tropes, intentional or not.

Someone is paying the USAs debt, and we all know who it is.

I think you found your reason.

So I'm going to be very charitable here and say that the main problem is that your analysis is eye-wateringly dumb, which has made you accidentally invoke an antisemitic trope.

The state of Israel is awful in so many ways, and there are lots of contentious things you can day about it — it's an ethno-state operating a defacto apartheid system, for example — without resorting to facile shit about Jewish money lenders

Analysis of what, be specific. Money lenders? No, defence contracts that US and Israel both want to go off without a hitch and both economic countries rely on. FACT. Not facile shit. Grow up and stop acting so pretentious. What you you mean by the below, not familiar with this reference to 'day'?:

There are lots of contentious things you can day about it

To elaborate," The U.S.-Israeli bilateral economic and commercial relationship is strong, anchored by two-way trade in goods and services that reached USD 45.1 billion in 2021, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis, and extensive commercial ties, particularly in high-tech and R&D. The total stock of Israeli foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States was USD 40.4 billion in 2020. Since the signing of the U.S.-Israel Free Trade Agreement in 1985, the Israeli economy has undergone a dramatic transformation, moving from a protected, low-end manufacturing and agriculture-led economy to one that is diverse, mostly open, and led by a cutting-edge high-tech sector.

The Israeli government generally continues to take slow, deliberate actions to remove trade barriers and encourage capital investment, including foreign investment. The continued existence of trade barriers and monopolies, however, have contributed significantly to the high cost of living and the lack of competition in key sectors. The Israeli government maintains some protective trade policies."

For Canada:

"Since the original CIFTA entered into force in 1997, two-way merchandise trade has more than tripled, totalling more than $1.6 billion in 2020. Canadian direct investment in Israel reached $515 million and Israeli direct investment in Canada reached $617 million in 2020.

A key element of the commercial relationship is collaboration in science, technology and innovation (STI). Bilateral STI relations are strong, developed through more than 20 years of close collaboration. The Government of Canada has partnered with Israel to support joint research, development and commercialization projects. The governments of Ontario and Quebec have also established programs to support companies and researchers pursuing partnerships with Israel."

Also OP, you might want to look into running your own Mastodon instance. It's going to present a challenge if you don't have a technical background but you learn a whole lot. The only real way to beat censorship is by being your own service provider. I have some very strong opinions (none that are hate-based but can be controversial) so I don't want to be at the mercy of some random sysadmins inability to see things objectively.

So I take it you are unable to now move your followers to a different account because they suspended you? Yeah, that's not cool. I am Jewish and I say "Fuck Israel!" So saying fuck Israel is not antisemitic. I find it shameful that after centuries of mistreatment and persecution, Jews aren't recognizing Palestinian rights to a country of their own. I am a Jew who believes in the Palestinian right to statehood.

I appreciate you broski. Glad it's not just me. Being critical of Israel isn't anti semitic. I'm tired of the censorship. Didn't have any followers. I called someone a cunt after they said my post was blatantly "anti-Semitic".

The IDF does terrible things to the Palestinian people. What a lot of other people don't really understand about the whole dynamic is that the Palestinian people are also used as pawns by the rest of Arab world. Palestinians are often treated as second class citizens amongst their own brethren. How do I know this? I have Palestinian friends who tell me as much. This is why Palestinians need their own country and it's purely evilly fascist to deny them of that right.
