It turns out that one the #performance issues I discovered some days ago in #GNOME #Web (where resources are not freed when closing a browser window) was caused byโ€ฆ a speed optimization previously made in the #Epiphany #opensource #Linux #browser โ€ฆ nearly 20 years ago ๐Ÿ‘€ No surprise then that it wasn't a #WebKitGTK issue, it even predates #WebKit ! ๐Ÿ˜‚ https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/epiphany/-/issues/2130
