I got somewhat scammed on ebay for an "open box" GPU that actually wasn't. It functions and has video output, but cannot maintain videogames or stress tests longer than a few seconds, and usually exits from a memory error. It however outputs video from video output and plays browser videos under low utilization.

Is this still usable for video transcoding let alone anything? If a memory error is the issue, I imagine it's a problem when processing a whole video file, but I've no idea if my hypothesis is true or if its usable in any other way.

I don't really know ffmpeg well enough to understand how it handles memory, so any insights at all are appreciated.
