Did anyone actually think that this pier would be enough to cover all aid needs? Everyone on Lemmy seemed to get that this was a bandaid, at best, since well before the project was launched.

Is it just me or don't European trucks look better then North American trucks? Probably safer for pedestrian traffic as well as automobile traffic, as the driver does not have his sight lines obstructed by the front hood.

I remember comments on Lemmy comparing the capacity of the pier with the need of the population and predicting that it was going to be severely inadequate. And here we are.
