It's been an eternity since I've genuinely been this hyped for a game. It looks incredible

Right? I just love the aesthetic too. The whole "Nasapunk" style just gives the whole game a optimistic feeling, for lack of a better word. If humanity got our collective asses in gear, we could achieve something like New Atlantis.
I am a sucker for all things space and sci-fi, and tbh not too many games have encapsulated that sense of wonder for me. NMS came close, but the NPC interactions are a bit thin.
Unfortunately for us moving any distinct distance away from our solar bubble is such a hazardous environment to be in even for machines. That's not even mention the resources required to event visit our nearest system.
Yeah its challenging for sure. But one should never underestimate what's possible to achieve. I mean a few hundred years ago, we never would have imagined even going into space.
When I watched the showcase I thought Skyrim + No Man's Sky + Elite: Dangerous became one game 😁
just need a vr mod/port
Hopefully that occurs sooner than later, and not after it gets remade and released for every platform out there, including your toaster.
DF have done a stellar job over this fake-E3 run. Enjoyed their commentary across all the showcase videos.
