Fair warning, I come from a rugby background where the TMO is basically part of the game now, and 999/1000 times, the right (or at least understandable and justifiable) decision is made.

Why would VAR be removed from the game?

I understand it breaks the flow of the game and it's costly to implement, but surely in leagues where six, seven, or eight+ figure sums are at stake, it's in everyone's interest to keep the tech?

Maybe even add to the impartiality by adding a level of abstraction by having a "man in the van" (other genders are available), or even a network review centre like the NHL facility in Toronto?

The problem is the implementation. PGMOL and Sky are unable to be impartial and continue to make and/or defend dodgy decisions.
