Congrats you have made me feel old. Oddly enough the Core naming scheme is older than the i3 i5 i7 naming scheme. I remember getting a Core 2 Duo and being stoked to have more than one core.

Their new M chips go from M2, to M2 Ultra, and M2 Max.

Mx is the base.
Mx Pro and Mx Max are mid to mid-high.
Mx Ultra is the highest spec.
