Basically the title. I'm having a hard time playing this on my phone because it gets so hot, but at the same time playing on my pc the controls feel to weird for me to get into the swing of things. Maybe I'd be better off playing on playatation? Idk give me your opinions, what's comfortable for you and why? I really like this game but I just can't seem to find the best way to play it

I'm playing on the PC with a controller.

I would love to play on the Steam Deck though but that's not officially supported on SteamOS. I tried installing Windows on it but my SD card was too small for Windows + Genshin Impact. I might try that in the future when I either upgrade my internal SSD for the Steam Deck or when I get a larger SD card just for Windows + Genshin.

How is the steam deck?! I've been holding off on buying one for a long time. Is it better than playing in pc? Also what's the performance like?

I think you can't generally say if it's better than a PC since it very much depends on your use case (How much do you travel? How much time do you have to sit down in front of a desktop PC? Do you need to be able to quickly interrupt your gameplay?). The performance is pretty surprising at times. For example I can play Diablo 4 at medium settings with FSR Performance at almost 60 FPS. Genshin Impact can be played on medium settings with 60 FPS (from what I have seen in videos). Most Indie games run at 60 FPS no problem. I don't play much on the Steam Deck since I have a pretty powerful PC and have plenty of time to sit in front of it and don't travel much. I mainly bought it to support Valve in their endeavour to support Linux gaming and in case I have to rarely travel somewhere or when I want to play in my garden.

See my problem is I don't really have a lot of time to sit down and play, I really wish they would release on the switch. It's like the perfect size and the portability is really handy. Idk I'll probably go break out the PC and try to make some time.

There's a way to play it on SteamOS. It's a third party launcher called An Anime Game launcher. Though it works by disabling the anti cheat so it's absolutely bannable and against ToS. I don't plan on risking my account with it.

My phone can't run it and the gameplay's kinda laggy on my old laptop so I gotta play it on my ps4. Too bad the co-op players aren't very patient when it comes to ps4 players with their longer load times.

Well it seems I'm going to give pc another shot. I'm gonna make myself sit down and actually learn the controls. My pc can handle it I just have gotten to where I can't sit and play for hours anymore in that chair. Idk, being an adult sucks

Being adult does really suck

Mobile for TCG and hangouts. PS5 for everything else.

How do you keep your phone cool when playing it tho

I bought my phone last year on Black Friday. It gets a bit warmer than usual but it's not bad. Couldn't play on mobile with my old phone.

Been playing on my phone with a joypad attached to it. Feels like playing a PSP game and it's comfortable

The joypad quality is kinda iffy, but it's serviceable

PS5

I like sitting on my couch staring at a big screen

I primarily play on PC with an MMO mouse. Because of the number pad on it, it makes performing some actions, like swapping characters, pretty easy for me.

I've played on PC since launch, so I'm pretty used to the PC controls at this point. Tried swapping to controller, but just couldn't get the hang of it fast enough for my liking.

PC with a Steam Controller

I don't play 3d games on mobile, they cause the phone to be too hot and damage your battery by doing so.

I wouldn't bother playing it on console unless you have a ps5, last time I check ps4 performance and experience overall was terrible. If your pc is able to handle genshin, go with that. The controls are actually very nicely thought, and it's only a matter of getting used to them.

I'd still choose the ps5 over pc

Yeah, I'm in the mood for a ps5. But I'm holding out for the FFXVI bundle. But geez $550 is a lot of money.

I'm playing on PC with a controller. That has the best experience for me so far.

If a PS5 would be practical, I guess that would be the best one? The game is somewhat opimized for PS5 and has slightly better graphics and lower load times there, but a good PC with an SSD works perfect too.

ipad mini, just the right size and it's not too heavy like other ipads. Also very portable so it's easy to bring anywhere I go. Battery also lasts at least a day.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Well all, I gave PC another go with keyboard and mouse and it's better. I guess I just needed more time to adjust to the controls

Short session on iPhone. (Loads faster than my PC ._.) Long session on iPad or PC. Sometime I play on iPad and then play youtube on PC or look at the genshin map from hoyolab on PC. Play on PC when I need that extra control precision or have a long playing session.

PC, have you tried controllers instead of the keyboard?
