The 24-year-old from the Czech Republic is ranked 42nd in the world and becomes the lowest-ranked woman to win at the All England Club, and the first unseeded woman to reach the final in 60 years.

What a win for Vondrousova, but it hurts for Ons.

I'm not gonna lie, I did not enjoy the final at all. It felt clunky, fragmented and, in spite of a few nice shots, low quality. A perfect anticlimax. Ons was clearly scared shitless, all Marketa had to do was get one more ball back.
