Reposting from Lemmy [email protected] since i didn't get any replies

Is this a limitation of my instance (feddit.de)?

I tried through URL (feddit.de/c/community@instance) and through feddits search function (!community@instance) What I described happens with the former; with the latter the community is not found

I'm not sure if it's related but I know a lot of Lemmy instances are getting overloaded because of the Reddit blackout. I know that the main instance was having federation problems because the servers kept crashing from the influx of users.

Same thing happens with me with a home instance of lemmy.world.

There might be issues with the remote instance. Try again in a couple hours, maybe?

it's been happening for 3 days now unfortunately, might move to another instance if it keeps happening
