Active Kickstarters
Speakeasy (18+) Funded: An otome set in a 1920’s jazz club. This is going to be published by JAST. They’re currently working towards stretch goals , the next one up is a polyamorous route.

Sweetcore Brews Funded: releasing for PC and Mobile, will be set in a magical tea shop. It should be noted that the studio behind this still hasn’t released the PC version of their last game, Untold atlas, on Steam even though they said they would do so in June

Of Sense and Soul (BL)
A slow burn BL set in 1870’s Victorian London. There’s one relationship; the two main routes are played from each man’s perspective. Features reserved journalist Hugo, and outgoing gentleman (as in landed gentry) Seamus.

VERBENA: A Romance Visual Novel
A paranormal visual novel set in 80’s small town Vermont. The main game will be free, kickstarter backers get the DLC. I’ve played the demo and the script has some issues, but the art is nice.

@Catch42

The Radiants has a July 31 2023 release date.

Where did they announce the release date? I've been following their itch and kickstarter pages and they said back in June that they're aiming for a July release date but I haven't seen any updates since.

@Catch42

Steam says July 31 2023 release date.

Thanks, I added it ~~with a question mark on whether or not it will release on that date. If it gets delayed it's no big deal, I'll just feature it on a later news round up~~

Edit: I messaged the dev and they confirmed a July 31st release

@Catch42

I didn't know how far out you wanted this thread to be. Are you planning it for a monthly

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I'm planning for these threads to be every-other-week, featuring games releasing 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks forward from the posting date. So the next one will be on July 29th and feature: games releasing between July 15th and Aug 12th, announcements made between July 15th and July 29th, and Kickstarters that are active as of July 29th. This means most games will be featured twice, once in "upcoming releases" and then in "recent releases" a couple of weeks later. Since most kickstarters run for a month, they'll also be featured roughly twice.

I picked this period because I don't want the threads to be so long that people don't want to read them, but I also want to fully include indie games. To this effect, I've not been including demos, early access, or individual route releases because they there are so many of them they could take over the thread. For A Tale of Crowns specifically, it looks like the Aug 31st date is when chapter 11 of about 25 chapters is going to be released. So I won't include it for quite some time. To keep track of things I've made bookmark folders labeled by expected release dates of games. I put A Tale of Crowns in my "2024 and beyond" folder.

I'm not sure if this schedule will make sense long term or if the summer is just packed with activity. If things slow down, I'll switch to a monthly thread.

That's probably far more than you wanted to know about how I think, but here you go. If you have any suggestions about the format let me know, I'm especially not sure if the title and icon I've been using really convey the content of the threads well. And, please do keep pointing out games to me; it's very helpful!
