I think you’re there, depending on lifestyle and daily needs. My 11 Pro is at 83% atm, and I’m just suffering until September when I can get a USB-C iPhone.
Not a problem for me to stay near power all day so it’s acceptable in my situation.

I hate lightning cables so I’m really excited for the 15. Planning to let the hype die down a little and maybe pull the trigger mid October.
I don’t remember where, but I remember reading that 80% was the threshold that you should replace. At 85%, I think you are being proactive in replacing if you like your phone and it’s still working well for you. I would do it.
At 85% it’s still totally usable but it’s getting worse and worse. I’d say that 80% could feel like a threshold of where you really should be making a move.
IIRC the official guidelines said once it drops below 80%
