But i had a group on messenger with my parents who doesn't want to switch, so i searched a bit, but all I could find was that messenger have some signal protocols, so my question is is there a way to make that group connect across the two apps? So i can use signal and they can use messenger and still be in the same group

There's not any way to accomplish this that I'm aware of.

The Signal protocol is just an agreed way to send/receive end-to-end encrypted messages. Think of it like https vs http on the web. https is now the standard, it used to be that most website were not encrypted. Although "https" is the modern standard, it doesn't mean any website can interoperate with another.
